Admission requirements are as stipulated hereunder;
1. Five (5) credit passes in not more than two (2) Sittings including Mathematics and
English Language.
2. Must have sat for the JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for
the 2022/2023 academic session and at least scored an aggregate of hundred (100)
minimum points as stipulated by the Federal Ministry of Education for the Colleges
of Education in Nigeria;
Policy Guideline for Cut-off marks.
For the setting of Federal College of Education Odugbo to be effectively filled and the
Admission process on the CAPS to follow the prescribed guidelines, the followings must be
noted and considered by Management.
1. Institution Cut-off: 100 (determined).
2. Admission Percentage Distribution: (Value to JAMB and value to Post UTME scores.
One cannot assign less than 50% score to JAMB): 100% using JAMB score
(Determined).
3. Programme cut-off: Yet to be Determined. This is for each programme and
consideration would be based on Admission Category.
4. Admission Category: This has three (3) components to be determined before the setting
in this section can be done. These are:
i. Merit: According to the FG Policy, admit 45% of your quota on merit for each
programme. Before setting the programme cut-off, look at the aggregate grades
and scores of candidates.
ii. Catchment: FG Policy is 35% and distributed on equal basis.
iii. Educational Less Developed States (ELDS):
5. Programme Quota: NCCE guidelines on the twenty-eight (28) listed programmes.
Students' Admission Procedure
Admission to the College NCE programme is through JAMB. Candidates seeking admission to the College are expected to sit for UTME and must mandatorily choose FCE, Odugbo and obtain a minimum score of 100 marks to qualify for admission into the College NCE programme. Additionally, the candidates are supposed to possess five (5) credit passes including Mathematics and English in O-level at not more than two sittings. The College also proposes to run the Pre-NCE programme to prepare candidates who have deficiencies in their O-level results. The Programme will prepare the candidates for them to meet up with requirements for NCE and further studies.
